Winvesta fees are 0.99% plus a small fixed fee (such as USD 3) to receive money from clients abroad. On Winvesta's US stock app, the platform fee is 0.05% to 0.25% per trade, depending on your plan.
Winvesta runs two separate services. The Global Collections Account helps Indian freelancers and exporters get paid by overseas clients. The investing app lets Indian residents buy US shares.
Each service has its own price list, so your fees depend on which one you use. Extras such as GST and withdrawal fees come on top of the headline rate.
Winvesta fees in brief
Here are the main charges across both services.
- Receiving client payments: 0.99% plus a fixed fee per transaction, such as USD 3, EUR 5 or GBP 5, up to 2,000 a month in each currency.
- Higher volumes: pricing is custom above 2,000 and up to 100,000 a month per currency, and above 100,000 it is a flat 0.2% with no fixed fee.
- GST: 18% for most collections accounts, charged on the fee and never on the payment itself.
- US stock trades: a platform fee of 0.25%, 0.10% or 0.05% per trade on the Lite, Base or Pro plan, capped at USD 20 per transaction.
- Plans: Lite costs USD 0 a month, Base USD 4 and Pro USD 30.
- Taking money out of the investing app: USD 35 per withdrawal to an Indian bank, and USD 100 to move your shares to another broker.
Winvesta services and what each one costs
Winvesta offers two services that share a brand but not a price list. Pick the one you need, then go to its section for the full fees and a worked example.
- Global Collections Account: gives you local account details in USD, GBP, EUR, CAD and AUD, and lets clients pay in 30+ currencies in total. You withdraw the money to your Indian bank in rupees, and the cost is 0.99% plus a fixed fee that depends on the currency.
- US stock investing: lets you buy US shares and funds from India under the rules for sending money abroad. You pay a monthly plan fee, a platform fee on each buy and sell, and a flat USD 35 when you withdraw to India.
If you are a freelancer or exporter, the collections account is the one that matters to you. The investing app is a personal savings product, and its fees only apply if you trade shares.
Collection fees are charged per transaction, while investing fees combine a monthly plan with a charge on each trade.
Winvesta Global Collections Account fees and charges
Two things set your Winvesta pricing on the collections account: the currency your client pays in and how much you collect in that currency in a month.
Here is what each item costs in a normal month of up to 2,000 per currency.
| What you pay for | Winvesta charge |
|---|---|
| Opening the account | Free, with no monthly fee or minimum volume |
| Receiving a client payment and withdrawing it to INR | 0.99% plus a fixed fee per transaction |
| Forex markup on USD | 0% |
| Forex markup on other currencies | Ask Winvesta for the rate |
| e-FIRA (foreign inward remittance proof) | Free, emailed within 24 hours of funds reaching your bank |
| Time to reach your bank | USD next business day after processing; EUR and GBP two business days |
| GST on the fee | 18%, except on accounts held with one of Winvesta's banking partners |
Winvesta charges one fee on collections, 0.99% plus the fixed fee, with no separate INR-withdrawal charge. Some write-ups describe a separate withdrawal fee, so confirm with support@winvesta.in before you quote a client.
You can hold funds in a currency for up to 30 days, and the money has to come back to India within that window.
Each payout comes with a free e-FIRA, the electronic form of the FIRA document your bank uses as proof that export income arrived from abroad.
Fixed fee per transaction by currency
Every fee below is charged per transaction and added to the 0.99%. The fixed amount is taken in the currency you receive, so a pound invoice pays a pound fee.
| Currency | Fixed fee per transaction (plus 0.99%) |
|---|---|
| USD | USD 3 |
| EUR | EUR 5 |
| GBP | GBP 5 |
| AED | AED 30 |
| AUD | AUD 10 |
| SGD | SGD 10 |
| CHF | CHF 10 |
| HKD | HKD 50 |
| DKK | DKK 45 |
| NOK | NOK 65 |
| SEK | SEK 70 |
| PLN | PLN 25 |
| CZK | CZK 140 |
| CAD and any currency not listed | The equivalent of USD 5, in that currency |
CAD has no fixed fee of its own, so a Canadian dollar payment falls under the "any currency not listed" line.
AED 30 is about USD 8.17 at the dirham peg of 3.6725 per dollar, close to three times the dollar fee, so convert the fixed fee for your own currency before you agree an invoice currency.
Volume bands above 2,000 a month per currency
The 0.99% plus fixed fee applies only up to a set monthly volume. Above that, Winvesta moves you to a different price.
- Up to 2,000 a month per currency: you pay 0.99% plus the fixed fee for that currency on each transaction, which is where most freelancers sit.
- Above 2,000 and up to 100,000 a month per currency: pricing is custom, so you book a call with Winvesta and agree a rate based on your volume and currencies.
- Above 100,000 a month per currency: you pay a flat 0.2% per transaction with no fixed fee, which suits larger exporters with steady client flows.
The bands count monthly volume in each currency separately, in that currency itself.
So USD 1,500 and GBP 1,500 in the same month both stay in the first band, and one USD 2,500 invoice lands you in the same band as five USD 500 invoices.
Other charges on the collections account, from GST to SWIFT
Four items can move your final figure beyond the headline fee. Knowing them in advance lets you quote clients a price that still leaves your margin intact.
- GST: Winvesta adds 18% GST to its fees on most accounts, and not on those held with one of its banking partners. It is charged on the fee, never on the amount your client sent, so check your dashboard before you price a job.
- Priority processing: an optional faster payout that typically costs USD 15 to 25 extra on USD withdrawals. You email support before you withdraw, and requests before 11:00 AM IST can be processed the same day, subject to approval.
- SWIFT costs: with SWIFT (Shared), you and your client share the bank fees, while with SWIFT (Ours) your client pays all of them. This guide to SWIFT charges explains why banks in the middle can take a cut.
- Forex markup: 0% on USD, so dollars convert at the mid-market rate. For EUR, GBP, AED and every other currency, ask Winvesta for the rate in writing.
Your own export invoice is a separate GST question. Services to overseas clients are usually zero-rated, and the rules on export of services under GST explain the letter of undertaking you file.
Collection cost on a real invoice, side by side (example)
In this example, each invoice is the only USD payment you receive that month. Winvesta prices the first band at 0.99% plus USD 3, while our plans charge a flat fee per invoice.
Other currencies carry different Winvesta fixed fees, so the comparison is shown in USD only.
| Invoice | Winvesta fee | Winvesta fee with 18% GST | Xflow fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| USD 1,000 | USD 12.90 (1.29%) | USD 15.22 | USD 12 flat, Starter plan (1.2%) |
| USD 5,000 | Custom quote (above the 2,000 band) | Custom quote | USD 20 flat, Growth plan (0.4%) |
On a USD 1,000 invoice the two fees sit close, and GST on Winvesta's fee widens the gap a little. At USD 5,000 you would need a custom quote from Winvesta before you can compare.
GST may also apply to our flat fee through the reverse charge mechanism, so check your own position.

Winvesta US stock investing fees and charges
The investing app is priced differently from the collections account. You pay a monthly plan fee, a platform fee on each trade and a few one-off charges when money or shares leave the account.
The plan you pick matters most if you trade often, while the withdrawal fee matters most if you cash out often.
You fund the account by USD wire from your own Indian bank, so your bank's charges come on top of the figures below.
Platform fee, trading fees and subscription plans
Opening an investing account costs USD 0, and Winvesta charges no commission on trades. The platform fee applies to both buy and sell orders, and it is shown before each trade and deducted from it.
| Plan | Monthly price | Platform fee per trade |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | USD 0 | 0.25% (minimum USD 1 a month) |
| Base | USD 4 | 0.10% |
| Pro | USD 30 | 0.05% |
The platform fee is capped at USD 20 per transaction on all three plans.
- Trading Activity Fee (TAF): USD 0.000166 per share on sell orders, capped at USD 8.30 per sell trade and passed on by the trading partner, with none of it kept by Winvesta.
- Billing and trial: yearly billing and a free 30-day trial are offered.
Withdrawal, transfer-out and inactivity charges
The larger investing charges come when money or shares leave the app, or when the account sits unused.
- Withdrawal to an Indian bank: a flat USD 35 per withdrawal on every plan, and the money takes 2 to 5 business days to reach you.
- Moving shares to another broker: USD 100 for a full or partial transfer out, while moving shares into Winvesta costs USD 0.
- Inactivity: Winvesta's help pages describe an INR 199 monthly fee for inactive accounts (a balance under USD 10 or no trading for 60 days), and a one-off INR 1,999 to reactivate, so check the current terms in the app.
- Funding: Winvesta charges USD 0 on incoming money, but you fund by USD wire only, from an account in your own name. Your bank may charge INR 500 to 2,500 for the wire.
- 60-day rule: after a deposit, you can withdraw only to the same bank account for 60 days.
- UPI: funding by UPI is not available.
What a US stock investment costs end to end (example)
In this example, you send about INR 1.9 lakh, which converts to about USD 2,000 at roughly INR 95 per dollar.
You stay on the Lite plan, buy USD 2,000 of shares (100 shares at USD 20), later sell them for the same USD 2,000, and withdraw to your Indian bank.
| Step | Charge |
|---|---|
| TCS on INR 1.9 lakh (below INR 10 lakh a year, if you send nothing else abroad that year) | Nil |
| Account, deposit and Lite plan | USD 0 |
| Platform fee on the buy (0.25% of USD 2,000) | USD 5.00 |
| Platform fee on the sell (0.25% of USD 2,000) | USD 5.00 |
| TAF on 100 shares sold | About USD 0.02 |
| Withdrawal to an Indian bank | USD 35.00 |
| Total Winvesta charges | About USD 45.02 (2.25% of USD 2,000) |
The withdrawal fee alone is 1.75% of the amount, more than both trades put together. Your bank's conversion margin, its transfer charge and any tax on gains in India are not included, because Winvesta does not set them.
Regulation and rules that apply to Winvesta users
A few Indian rules shape how much you can send and what tax is collected along the way. They apply to you, not to Winvesta's price list.
- Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS): resident individuals can send up to USD 250,000 abroad per financial year, and investing in US shares counts towards that limit.
- Tax Collected at Source (TCS): TCS applies above INR 10 lakh a year sent under LRS. The rate is 20% on the amount above INR 10 lakh a year for investment (Section 394, Income-tax Act 2025), so check it with your bank before a large transfer.
- TCS is a credit: the amount collected can usually be claimed as a credit when you file, so it is a cash-flow cost rather than a fee.
- Collections account status: Winvesta does not appear on the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) list of authorised payment aggregators as of 27 October 2026. Winvesta states that it facilitates collections through banking partners under RBI rules.
- Investing partner: Winvesta says it works with Alpaca Securities, which it describes as an SEC-registered US broker-dealer and a FINRA and SIPC member, with shares held by Velox Clearing.
Limitations of Winvesta to know before you sign up
Each service has a few limits you would feel in daily use.
- Custom pricing above 2,000: once you collect more than 2,000 a month in one currency, you only get a rate after you book a call.
- GST on collection fees: most accounts pay 18% GST on the fee, which pushes your real cost above the headline rate.
- Non-USD forex rate: the 0% markup covers USD only, so pound, euro and dirham conversions need a rate quote.
- 30-day holding window: collected money has to come back to India within 30 days, so you cannot keep a foreign balance for long.
- Investing withdrawals: the flat USD 35 per withdrawal hurts small, frequent withdrawals far more than large ones.
- Investing funding: USD wire only, no UPI, and a 60-day rule that ties withdrawals to the bank you funded from.
How Xflow compares for receiving client payments
Xflow is a cross-border payments platform for Indian freelancers and exporters. Your overseas clients pay you in 25+ currencies, and rupees reach your Indian bank on the next business day.
We hold final Payment Aggregator Cross Border (PA-CB) authorisation from the RBI as of February 2026, the fully approved stage for cross-border payment aggregators.
Xflow pricing starts with a flat fee per invoice instead of a percentage plus a fixed fee.
- Starter plan: a flat USD 12 per invoice up to USD 2,000, then 0.6% on the amount above, ideal if your invoices are usually under USD 3,500.
- Growth plan: a flat USD 20 per invoice up to USD 5,000, then 0.4% on the amount above, ideal for invoices between USD 2,000 and USD 10,000.
- Larger volumes: custom pricing from USD 10,000 a month, agreed with our team.
- Conversion: we start from the mid-market rate, and anything above the flat limit is charged as an FX mark-up.
- Where Winvesta is cheaper: our flat USD 12 costs more than Winvesta on single USD invoices under about USD 900, before GST.

Is Winvesta worth the cost for freelancers and exporters?
Whether Winvesta is worth it depends on your invoice size, your currency and which service you use.
- Freelancers with small USD invoices: under about USD 900 per invoice, Winvesta's 0.99% plus USD 3 costs less than a flat USD 12 fee.
- Freelancers billing USD 1,000 to 2,000: the cost sits around 1.1% to 1.3% before GST, close to a flat fee, so the deciding factor is GST and speed.
- Exporters billing in GBP, EUR or AED: higher fixed fees and a quoted forex rate make the true cost harder to predict than on USD.
- Agencies past 2,000 a month in one currency: the real Winvesta cost is whatever you agree on the call, so get the quote, the GST position and the forex rate in writing.
- Comparing other options: if you are also weighing Wise, PayPal or Skydo, price each one on the same invoice size and currency, because flat and percentage fees cross over at different amounts.
- Investors: the plan and platform fees are low, but the USD 35 withdrawal makes the app better suited to long-term holding than to frequent cash-outs.
Final word on Winvesta charges
Winvesta charges 0.99% plus a fixed fee to receive client payments, and a plan fee plus a per-trade platform fee on its US stock app.
GST, custom pricing above 2,000 a month and the USD 35 investing withdrawal are the charges that change your real cost. Check the fixed fee for your currency and your monthly volume before you choose.
If you invoice larger amounts or several clients a month, compare a flat fee per invoice on the same figures, and ask about GST before you sign up.
